Ultimate Discovery Full Day Tour – Abrolhos, Pink Lake and River Gorges Adventure from Kalbarri

Begin your morning with a scenic flight over Kalbarri, then along the majestic Coastal Cliffs towering over Gantheume Bay, showcasing vibrant red sedimentary rock colours formed over 400 million years ago.

Continue to the Abrolhos Islands, a chain of 122 islands and coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, approximately 65 kilometres off Australia’s west coast. This southernmost true coral reef is a crucial seabird breeding site and boasts diverse marine life and stunning coral gardens. Sea lions, dolphins, and migratory whales are often spotted here.

Land on East Wallabi Island and enjoy a short walk to Turtle Bay for a morning of swimming and snorkelling in protected coral reef waters. Enjoy a delicious preordered lunch box with tea and plunger coffee (included). Afterwards, discover abundant birdlife, neighbouring
islands, and limestone cave formations on a nature walk.

Return to Kalbarri, flying over the breathtaking Abrolhos Islands coral atolls, the historical Batavia shipwreck site, and the unique Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake near Port Gregory. The lake’s pink hue is due to carotenoid-producing algae, Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene and vitamin A. The Pink Lake spans approximately 70 square kilometres and is fed by marine waters through springs.

Finally, fly over Kalbarri National Park for a bird’s-eye view of the river gorges and the vibrant colours of jagged rock layers before landing back at Kalbarri airport situated in the National Park.
